Yahoo! Finance: Green Cubes celebrates growth, 10th anniversary of SAFEflex battery

Globe Hero

A decade ago, Green Cubes Technology embarked on the production of its groundbreaking Lithium SAFEFlex Battery, and ten years later, this flagship product has played a pivotal role in an impressive tripling of revenue within the past two years. The company celebrated this remarkable milestone at its location on 2121 E. Boulevard, Kokomo, with a gathering marking a decade of Lithium SAFEFlex Battery excellence. These batteries power not only forklifts but also a range of warehouse and aviation ground support vehicles. While the initial cost of the SAFEFlex battery is two to three times higher than traditional lead acid batteries, it offers substantial long-term cost savings due to its enhanced efficiency and extended battery life. For example, a forklift traditionally requiring 10-15 lead acid batteries over its lifespan can now run efficiently on a single SAFEFlex battery. The substantial benefits extend to both cost savings and environmental advantages. In addition to their application in forklifts and ground support equipment, Green Cubes also produces batteries for mobile medical workstations, automated vehicles, and cellular tower backup power. The company’s impressive growth over the past decade, expanding from a small building with fewer than 20 employees to a 36,000-square-foot facility employing around 150 people, positions it for further success as more companies transition to electrified solutions and reduce reliance on gas-powered engines. Green Cubes Technology remains committed to Kokomo, where they have found a skilled and dedicated workforce, and they anticipate further expansion in both revenue and employment as the electrification trend continues to grow.
