Off-Highway Applications

Reliable, Cost-Effective, and Long Operational Power
for Rugged Off-Highway Applications
Electrification offers lower maintenance and operational costs, and meets environmental and noise emission regulations.

Off-highway applications like construction equipment, agricultural machines, and material-handling vehicles can all benefit from lithium-ion batteries over traditional power sources like lead-acid. Lithium-ion batteries store much more energy per weight/volume than older technologies like lead-acid and these heavy machines get more “work per charge” while battery size and weight stay manageable. This is critical when mobility, load capacity or ground pressure of equipment matter. Because lithium-ion packs are more efficient and compact, they enable electric or hybrid powertrains without severely compromising performance. That makes them suitable for machines with high energy demands and heavy-duty cycles.

Unlike lead-acid batteries, lithium-ion battery packs don’t require regular watering or maintenance. That reduces upkeep and avoids common lead-acid issues like corrosion, acid spills, or maintenance downtime. Many lithium-ion systems for industrial/off-highway usage come with integrated battery-management systems (BMS), so users can always monitor cell health, temperature, voltage, and charge state to enable predictive maintenance and safety. Moving away from internal combustion engines reduces harmful exhaust emissions and helps meet stricter environmental and emissions regulations. For enclosed workspaces like indoor warehouses, tunnels or urban construction zones, eliminating exhaust fumes is a major benefit.

Modern lithium chemistries used in industrial or off-highway batteries like lithium-iron phosphate (LFP) can deliver thousands of cycles, giving long operational life for vehicles and machines. In addition, these batteries are designed to safely withstand dust, shock, vibration, and water exposure, making them ideal for rough environmental conditions.

With 40 years of experience developing hundreds of battery systems for multiple applications, Green Cubes understands the advantages and, more importantly, the limitations of electrification. We are your power systems partner, acting as an extension of your own team, to give you the Power To Perform and achieve your operational, technical and commercial goals.

Customer Ratings and Reviews

Green Cubes is a great company, great engineers, great product. That’s been kind of my number one go to [lithium] battery.

President Industrial Power Company

The thing I like about Green Cubes is that they have other lines of business outside of material handling batteries, they have been in the lithium world for a long time. I can trust they will likely stay in business

VP Industrial Battery Company

Green Cubes [differentiates] on its capability to custom design for things like the hardware, the firmware, and inverters. They also have economies of scale because they make battery systems for things like forklifts.

VP Powered Cart OEM

I am doing some work with them right now. We’re learning their products, and looking at demos. They have good people. They seem like they know the technology well – they say they’re a technology company. I like that they’ve been in the lithium business a long time. I can trust they will likely stay in business.

Sales Manager Industrial Battery Company

Green Cubes Technology would be my go-to for lithium applications.

Branch Manager OEM

I’ve told my friends at Green Cubes, I don’t plan on going anywhere. I believe in loyalty.
