Green Cubes (formerly branded as UNIPOWER) Introduces First-of-its-Kind 400 Amp DC Power System Retrofit Kit
Exciting news from Green Cubes – Does the thought of replacing an aging DC power system frighten you? No time to bring a critical system down? Then simply upgrade the power. Find out how!
Green Cubes (formerly branded as UNIPOWER) Launches Guardian Access M38 19-inch Rack-Mount DC Power System
With -48VDC output at 60A to 600A, the feature-rich system combines high-power output of bulk units with bullet breaker flexibility
Green Cubes, a world-leading provider of quality high-efficiency power electronics and energy conversion systems and power supplies, today introduced its 19-inch rack-mount DC power system, the Guardian Access M38.
Based on customer feedback and market demand, the company designed the system to “combine the high-power output of our bulk systems with the ease and flexibility of a bullet breaker configuration,” according to John Ely, vice president of marketing. “The distribution can be totally configured in the field.”
The first in a new line of NPS products for the North American market, the Guardian Access M38 is a highly configurable system that provides output of -48VDC with current from 60A to 600A as needed, which can be shared between the load and battery charge current that is programmable via the controller.
Included are three rectifier shelves with up to 11 Guardian family high-efficiency hot-swap rectifiers which are internally fan-cooled with speed control, a function of load and temperature to minimize acoustic noise.
Ely added that the ACX Advanced remote access controller monitors system parameters, controls rectifier output, provides alarms for system failures and is replaceable in the field.
The easily installable system can be programmed via remote PC webpage display, allows communication by Ethernet LAN with SNMPv3 including alarm trapping, and temperature compensate external battery charging with a supplied TC probe. An LCD display is included for local metering, status and set-up, he said.
Other key features include three LED alarm/status indicators, 10 Form-C relay alarms, up to 20 load circuits and standard 600A LVD with battery. In addition, the new Guardian Access M38 is compatible with Green Cube’s free PowCom software, offering local and remote management through an advance Windows graphical user interface (GUI).
Ely said Green Cubes is the first company in the industry to offer a three-year warranty with the Guardian Access M38, a full year increase over most of its competitors.

“DON’T SEE WHAT YOU NEED? IT CAN EASILY BE CHANGED.”
The EASYMOD® family of switching power supplies has been designed with two precepts; (1) the laws of physics are immutable, and (2) the satisfaction of customer requirements and needs is paramount.
A host of modifications, only some of which are listed below, can and will be performed on products for customer programs requiring as few as 250 units per year. These “mods” are available at nominal premium (if any), normally without non-recurring engineering costs (although a one time documentation fee may be incurred), and usually with all safety agency approvals in place. This minimizes both product development cost and new product time to market. Effectively, EASYMODs® allow small program requirements the luxury of costly custom power supply designs.

Green Cubes Technology has announced its completion of a sizeable deal with a major agricultural retailer.
Green Cubes Technology is one of the largest suppliers of lithium ion battery systems in North America recently completing an entire fleet fitting for a large-scale distribution center.
Green Cubes Technology has announced its completion of a sizeable deal with a major agricultural retailer. With its Lithium SAFEFlex® battery system, Green Cubes is powering material handling equipment at a new center that is over 850,000 square feet. The company has ordered over 130 class II and III batteries since last year. To put into perspective, each piece of equipment only requires one lithium-ion battery while it usually requires two, if not, three lead-acid batteries. Along with needing a large portion of square footage for a battery storage room with lead-acid, there could have been 260-390 lead-acid batteries needed if that route would have been taken. The large quantity of batteries, storage room and maintenance are all eliminated by the decision to pick Lithium SAFEFlex.
