Green Cubes Technology Delivers Over 100 Lithium SAFEFlex® Batteries to a Large Agricultural Retailer’s New Distribution Center

Green Cubes Technology has announced its completion of a sizeable deal with a major agricultural retailer.

Green Cubes Technology is one of the largest suppliers of lithium ion battery systems in North America recently completing an entire fleet fitting for a large-scale distribution center.

Green Cubes Technology has announced its completion of a sizeable deal with a major agricultural retailer.  With its Lithium SAFEFlex® battery system, Green Cubes is powering material handling equipment at a new center that is over 850,000 square feet.  The company has ordered over 130 class II and III batteries since last year.  To put into perspective, each piece of equipment only requires one lithium-ion battery while it usually requires two, if not, three lead-acid batteries.  Along with needing a large portion of square footage for a battery storage room with lead-acid, there could have been 260-390 lead-acid batteries needed if that route would have been taken.  The large quantity of batteries, storage room and maintenance are all eliminated by the decision to pick Lithium SAFEFlex.

Green Cubes (formerly branded as UNIPOWER) Expands Scimitar Rack-Mount Inverter Line

March 18, 2019 (Coral Springs, FL) – Green Cubes, the leading provider in power for mission-critical applications and high efficiency systems, today announced expansion of its popular Scimitar 19-inch rack-mount sine-wave inverter line with the introduction of both 3000 and 5000 Watt models featuring remote monitoring and control and built-in static transfer switches.

According to John Ely, Vice President of Marketing for Green Cubes, “These new, higher power additions are in direct response to customer demands for AC capacity. The new line will augment the company’s existing line of 1kW and 2kW rack-mounted inverters.”

Ely added that, “We’ve specified that the Static Transfer Switch be standard and not an extra-cost option. Customers will have the peace of mind of a connection to a utility or other AC power source. That AC source can be switched to the load automatically in the event the inverter operation is interrupted, ensuring the load will not be dropped.”

The 2RU Scimitar 3000 series come in different models that operate from a 12, 24 or 48 Vdc source and produce a 115 or 230 Vac output. The output voltages and frequencies are programmable from the front panel, as well as SNMP communications interface which can be used for remote monitoring.

The Scimitar 5000 models are 3RU high and operate from a 24 or 48 Vdc source, also producing a 115 or 230 Vac output.

Other notable features common in both series:

  • 50 or 60Hz low distortion sine wave output
  • -20 to +50°C operating temperature
  • -30 to +70°C storage temperature
  • Adjustable output voltage
  • Ability to power reactive loads
  • LED status display
  • Relay Alarm Output
  • 2-year warranty

There is an optional hinged front panel cover available.
