Green Cubes Technology Launches Trials Of Lithium SafeFlex Battery With Transbotics’ Automatic Guided Vehicle (AGV)

Kokomo, IN / Oct 16, 2013 – Green Cubes Technology, a leading provider of custom designed lithium solutions for industrial and medical applications announces that it has been selected by Transbotics, a division of Scott Systems International Incorporated, to start trials of its Lithium SAFEFlex batteries with Transbotics’ Automatic Guided Vehicles (AGV).  AGVs are driverless, computer-controlled vehicles that are programmed to transport materials through designated pickup and delivery routines within a manufacturing or distribution facility.  Previously these vehicles had been using lead acid batteries that had limited ranges and lacked enough power to fuel and drive Transbotics’ various massive AGVs.  This is yet the latest example of companies recognizing the failure of lead acid batteries and turning to Green Cubes Technology for its cutting edge, industry leading, lithium solutions.

“Green Cubes Technology is very excited and proud to be working with Transbotics as we introduce our Lithium SAFEFlex battery line to their AGVs and the material handling industry,” said Anthony Cooper, Vice President of Engineering at Green Cubes Technology. “Without question, lead acid batteries are totally unsuitable for AGVs, as we are finding that they are for nearly any product or industry.”

“Businesses rely on AGVs to help reduce operating expenses by making numerous operating actions autonomous but using lead acid batteries that have limited range and lack the energy to power AGVs defeats that purpose and is extremely costly,” continued Cooper. “Our Lithium SAFEFlex platform is maintenance free and cost-efficient making it the ideal fit for AGVs and achieving the results desired by Transbotics and their customers.”
